オリジナル毛糸「まさか」の特徴は、
◯ジャカード織や織られた傘生地の耳を使い、裂き編み糸として1本の糸
◯極太針や指編みで楽しめる太さの糸
◯水洗いが出来る

糸は傘で使用するために防水・撥水などの後加工をしていますが、カットする際に穴をあけていることもあり完全な防水仕様ではありません。
また、密度を詰めて織っているため、普通の生地よりほつれにくくなっていますが、編んだり、作品を使用したり、洗ったりするうちに経糸が出てくることもありますが、経年変化として捉えてご使用ください。

Features of the Original Yarn “Masaka”
◯ Made by upcycling the selvage (edges) of jacquard-woven or umbrella fabrics, crafted into a single strip of yarn for tearing and knitting.
◯ Thick enough to be enjoyed with super bulky needles or finger knitting.
◯ Can be washed with water.

The yarn has been waterproofed and treated for water repellency (since it was originally made for umbrellas), but because it has small holes from cutting, it is not completely waterproof.
Also, because the fabric is densely woven, it is less likely to fray compared to regular fabrics. However, with use — through knitting, wearing, or washing — some warp threads may surface.
