和紙を芯に外側をウォッシャブルウールを使った全く新しいタイプの毛糸です。

和紙の場合、平たくテープのようにして使うのが一般的ですが。コードヤーンのようにコシがありながらウールの柔らかさ暖かさを持った独特の感触の毛糸が生まれました。

和紙とウールは同時に染めるのはかなり難しく、染色工場の特許技術によって丁寧に染められている糸です。

合細（6番手）と、より細い極細（10番手）の糸と、2種類あり、色展開が異なりますのでご注意ください。

合細の方がウールの割合が多くよりふっくらとしながらコシのある不思議な触感をより体験できます。

極細は棒針でなくレース針がおすすめです。こんなに細いのに、マットでしっかりとした作品が作れます。レーヨン和紙のラメ糸「あたかも」とは違いマットな感触を楽しめます。

細番手のモヘヤと引き揃えるのも素敵。

小物だけでなくハリコシを活かして、セーター等も編んでも面白い作品ができそうです！

This is a completely new type of yarn, made with a core of traditional Japanese washi paper wrapped in washable wool.

Washi is typically used in a flat, tape-like form, but here, it’s spun into a cord-like yarn with both structure and resilience, while retaining the softness and warmth of wool, resulting in a unique texture unlike anything else.

Dyeing washi and wool together is technically very challenging, but thanks to patented techniques developed by the dyeing factory, this yarn is carefully and beautifully dyed.

There are two types of yarn:
-Aiboso (fine weight / approx. #6 count)
The Aiboso yarn has a higher wool content, giving it a softer, fluffier texture while still maintaining a pleasant firmness.

-Gokuboso (extra fine / approx. #10 count)
Please note that each weight comes in different color variations. The Gokuboso version is best suited for lace needles rather than regular knitting needles. Despite being so fine, it creates a matte, structured fabric, quite different from shiny washi-rayon blends like Atakamo. You’ll enjoy its natural, understated finish.

It also pairs beautifully with fine mohair when held double.
