Our goats are kept purely for the mohair which they produce, each month they will grow approximately 25mm of hair. When the hair is 150mm long which is the ideal length they are shorn. This takes place at the end of February and August the fleece are sent to Halifax where they are scoured, combed and spun into either hanks or onto cones.
