Jolie is a 2-ply Mule-Spun Yarn (Woolen-spun) - Fingering Weight (#1)

70% Kid Mohair from our farm - 30% Canadian Wool (Rambouillet)

A yarn 100% from Canadian farms & fibre mill

Processed at Custom Woolen Mills (Alberta) on their antique woolen machinery, this yarn is spun on a Spinning Mule built in 1910. Unlike new industrial spinning processes, Mule Spun yarns are drawn, spun, relaxed, and then wound, mirroring the hand-spinning process. Due to the specific operation of this antique machine, knots in the yarn are necessary during the spinning process. Therefore, it is normal to find a few knots in each skein.

Thanks to the woolen spinning method and its superior blend quality, this yarn is exceptionally soft, light, lofty, bouncy, and cosy. Due to the numerous air pockets in this yarn, it will make extra warm and insulating garments. After being washed and wet blocked,it will bloom beautifully.

Ideal for lightweight garments and accessories such as winter jumpers, hats, mittens, scarves, socks, and more. Fair Isle patterns will gain added texture and a subtle blur between colours.

This yarn can be used on patterns calling for fingering to sport weight yarns.

It can be used in knitting machines, for hand knitting, crocheting, or in weaving for weft.

Available in : 20g - 100g skeins, mini skeins sets, cones
