A fantastic sock yarn! This has all the beauty of mohair and wool, along with the added strength of nylon. It has a slight halo and is likely to bloom a little after washing. It will work into lovely garments, look good in lacy projects, and of course make divinely cosy comfy socks!

Prairie Crocus yarn is spun using the fleeces from our angora goats (adults). Their fleeces are blended with fine wool ( Charollais cross Dorset) for added memory to help your garments keep their shape and with nylon to add strength.

We kettle dye (hand-dye) many skeins for you in several colours using acid dyes.

Undyed skeins are also an excellent choice for hand-painted yarns or any dyeing project you may have in mind.

We also offer this yarn in cakes, mini skeins and mini-skein sets. Please adjust the yardage and skein size on individual stash pages. This is the same base yarn.
