Each batch of Maine Twist is carefully crafted in Maine to create a soft luxurious knitting yarn. Most of the fiber is locally sourced, silk just can’t be grown here. The alpaca makes the fabric soft, warm and cozy. This yarn is appropriate for next to the skin projects, such as scarves, shawls, sweaters, hats, mittens.

This is our signature yarn, made with Maine alpaca and our own sheep’s wool. It is soft and warm with the lovely shimmer and feel of silk.
