CASHMERE DELIZIA – EIN SINNLICHER GENUSS AUS KASCHMIR

Der Name Delizia stammt aus dem Italienischen und steht für „Genuss“ oder „Köstlichkeit“ – und genau das ist dieses Garn: ein wahrer Genuss für alle Sinne. Cashmere Delizia ist eines unserer edelsten Garne und vereint luxuriöse Weichheit mit einem innovativen Aufbau, der es einzigartig macht.

Dieses innovative Chenille-Garn aus reinem Kaschmir wird – anders als klassische Kettgarne – direkt aus dem Dochtgarn aufgebaut. Entwickelt wurde es von Mr. Cariaggi, dem Inhaber der gleichnamigen Spinnerei in Italien, die teilweise im Besitz von Chanel und Brunello Cucinelli ist. Cariaggi produziert feinste Garne für die weltweit führenden Luxusmarken und verfolgt dabei höchste Qualitätsstandards. Das Unternehmen engagiert sich zudem aktiv für den Umweltschutz und besitzt mehrere Zertifizierungen, unter anderem RAF (Responsible Animal Fiber) und SFA (Sustainable Fibre Alliance).

Cashmere Delizia wird ausschließlich aus dem feinen Unterhaar der Kaschmirziegen hergestellt. Die Fasern stammen von Ziegen aus dem mongolischen Hochland – einer Region, die für besonders feine und hochwertige Kaschmirfasern bekannt ist. Die Faser und die gesamte Produktion sind SFA-zertifiziert. Das bedeutet, dass sowohl die Herkunft der Kaschmirfaser als auch ihre Verarbeitung in der Spinnerei unter strengen Umwelt-, Tierwohl- und Sozialstandards erfolgt. Die SFA setzt sich für nachhaltige Weidewirtschaft, faire Arbeitsbedingungen und den respektvollen Umgang mit Tieren ein.

Dank der besonderen Chenille-Konstruktion ist das Garn außergewöhnlich leicht und gleichzeitig voluminös. Obwohl es mit 5-mm-Nadeln gestrickt wird, benötigst du weniger Garn als bei herkömmlichen Kaschmirgarnen, die mit 3,5-mm-Nadeln verarbeitet werden. Die Garnstärke entspricht einem Worsted Weight mit 12 WPI, wodurch ein wunderbar weiches, gleichmäßiges Maschenbild entsteht.

Cashmere Delizia ist ideal für luxuriöse Accessoires wie Schals, Mützen und Loops, aber auch für warme, kuschelige Pullover und Cardigans. Es fühlt sich unglaublich sanft auf der Haut an – ein echtes Verwöhngarn für besondere Projekte.

The name  Delizia  comes from the Italian word for “delight” or “delicacy” – and that’s exactly what this yarn is: a true delight for the senses.  Cashmere Delizia  is one of our most exquisite yarns, combining luxurious softness with an innovative prodcutio technique that makes it truly unique.

This innovative chenille yarn made of pure cashmere is – unlike traditional chainette yarns – made directly from roving yarn. It was developed by Mr. Cariaggi, owner of the renowned Italian spinning mill of the same name, which is partly owned by Chanel and Brunello Cucinelli. Cariaggi produces some of the world’s finest yarns for leading luxury fashion brands and upholds the highest quality standards. The company is also actively committed to environmental protection and holds several certifications, including RAF (Responsible Animal Fiber) and SFA (Sustainable Fibre Alliance).

Cashmere Delizia is made exclusively from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats. The fibers come from goats raised in the highlands of Mongolia – a region renowned for producing exceptionally fine and high-quality cashmere. Both the fiber and the entire production process are SFA-certified. This means the origin of the cashmere and its processing in the mill meet strict environmental, animal welfare, and social responsibility standards. The SFA advocates for sustainable grazing practices, fair working conditions, and the respectful treatment of animals.

Thanks to its unique chenille structure, the yarn is exceptionally lightweight yet voluminous. Although it’s knitted with 5 mm needles, you’ll need less yarn compared to conventional cashmere yarns that are worked with 3.5 mm needles. The yarn weight corresponds to a worsted weight with 12 WPI, resulting in a wonderfully soft and even stitch definition.
