This fantastic natural yarn of 100% yak wool is particularly fine and soft. The yak wool is won from the fine underhair of yak (also called Tibetan Ox). The animal is combed and the combed fibers are spun subsequently to the wool then. Yak wool can be compared with cashmere (soft fibers of the cashmere goat). Yakwool is very light but warms very well.

This precious wool is very easy handled and makes even mesh structure. It is a perfect yarn for all kinds of the fine knit fabrics with openwork, eyelet pattern or lacework. The yak wool doesn’t split during the knitting process and is a little fluffy. The fleece is not that long as by alpaca wool and doesn’t go fluffy neither during the knitting nor while wearing of the knit end product. That’s why this yarn is suited perfectly for the knitting of fine pullovers, cardigans, pullunders. This precious yarn is right for baby clothes or blankets. Care:
Wash your knitted article best by hand, handwarm at a temperature of not more than 30°, but not in the wash machine. Please use exclusively a detergent for wool and dry the article only placed lying down best on the terry towel to get rid of the deformations! You can also dry it on the foam plastic hangers but far away from the heat source!
