Handwash in lukewarm water using a gentle dishwashing liquid. Rinse well, do not wring. Roll in a towel to absorb excess water. Lie flat out of direct sunlight. Peace Fleece softens and fluffs up with continued washings.
Peace fleece skeins may contain a small amount of vegetable matter. These tiny bits of dried grass and flowers come from the pastures of South Dakota, Ohio and Texas. Peace Fleece has chosen not to rid the yarns of this vegetation by “carbonizing” - a process where the wool is dipped in sulphuric acid. Peace Fleece hopes that its customers will choose their yarn because it is free of this chemical and won’t mind taking the time to pick out any flecks of vegetation.
