A unique cross from San Juan Island, Fir Oak Farm raises Suffolk x Romney sheep and the fiber is worthy of a yarn of its own. We like this yarn for socks and a multitude of fingering/heavy fingering weight projects.

The Suffolk is resistent to felting, and adds bounce to the yarn. The Romney imparts strength and softness. A round 3ply, high-twist construction adds to the durability.
