Soil Yarn UNSPUN creates a fabric that is soft and light, but warm at the same time - it works very well for winter knits. The texture of the knitted fabric is remarkably plush and lofty - almost like a cloud.

UNSPUN is a pre-yarn/unspun yarn. This means the fiber has been carded but no twist has been added. Unspun yarns are much more delicate than spun yarns, and you may have to change how you tension your yarn and pay a little more attention while knitting to keep it from tearing. The good news though is that you can increase the durability of the yarn by adding in additional strands. And if the yarn does break, you can very easily join it back together.

PLEASE NOTE: You can knit with this yarn however you like - held single, held double or with a strand of another fiber (such as mohair or alpaca). However because of the lack of twist in this yarn it’s going to tear easier if you hold it single. Holding the yarn double or with a strand of mohair will greatly increase the durability of the yarn as well as the ease of the knitting experience.
