This yarn comes from their unique Stansborough Grey sheep - an ancient breed which Stansborough has selectively bred over the past 18 years to their unique specifications to create very hard wearing yarn in a beautiful blue grey that is also very soft and has a shimmer not normally associated with sheep wool.

Although sold as a 4ply, in reality it is a DK weight. It is oiled, and must be washed in hot water before its true soft, fluffy character appears.
