The Hidden Valley Flock is a limited edition yarn created by Story Made Yarns for the book Story Maker: an illustrated book of knitting, fibre & fable.

The wool is sourced from Dorset-Coopworth cross sheep from a single flock in Ontario, Canada. It is spun semi-woolen at a small fibre mill in Ontario and dyed by hand in small batches.

Because it is semi-woolen spun, it is loftier and warmer than worsted spun yarns, but doesn’t suffer from the fragility of fully woolen spun yarns. Creates a beautifully elastic fabric that is dense and cozy without being heavy.
