The beautiful sheep that these coats belonged to are kept in a really animal friendly and sustainable way! A local shepherd has a big flock of all kinds of sheep which are used in nature reserves and are kept outdoors for most of the year. We love his attention for rare sheep breeds, as well as making sure that the breeds that he has, are kept pure.

This artisanal yarn is from some of his Zwartbles Sheep, a breed native to the Netherlands. The gorgeous rich deep brown shade makes it a perfect combo with our naturally dyed yarn!
