Summerhill Farm, located at the Jersey shore, is home our flock of friendly Jacob Sheep that produce a soft wool that is brownish gray. This is a worsted weight wool, next to skin soft, that will knit up beautifully into hats, mittens, scarves, sweaters, and blankets. Each hank has 190 yards of yarn.

This yarn is naturally colored so there are no dye lots. There still however maybe be slight variations from skein to skein due to the nature of the natural fleece. There may also be a slight amount of vegetable matter in the yarn - just shows it came straight from the farm! Also try working stranded with multiple skeins - this works especially well with blankets.

Hand-washable with warm water and gentle soap such as Soak. This yarn will Felt.
