This yarn is a real treat, very bouncy and airy. The merino gives the yarn it’s bounciness whilst the addition of cashmere gives it a gentle shine and softness. The added nylon gives the yarn a little extra strength. Mary takes colour very well and is a bouncy (that’s the merino for you) and luxurious (mmm…cashmere).

I have a bit of a medieval/tudor obsession and couldn’t resist naming a yarn after poor Mary (if you’re not up to speed with British history, she was Queen of the Scots and had her head chopped off by Elizabeth I) and had a bit of play with the name Mary, Queen of Scots.

Whilst this is a Queen of Socks range, Mary is versatile enough for lace projects with 400m (437 yards) per 100g skein.
