This is not your average Superwash wool. Swans Island washable wool is 100% certified organic and so is the washability! The unique Ecowash process gently coats the wool fibers with an organic compound, leaving the yarn less “stripped” than traditional Superwash products. Available in sport and DK weights, these yarns have a surprising bounce and are a pleasure to knit with. The GOTS certified organic merino is spun at a historic Maine mill, then skein dyed with low impact dyes at our studio in Northport, imparting rich tonality to each hand dyed lot.
