Churro yarn has been noted for it’s durability in handwoven rugs for generations. It comes in natural and natural hand-dyed shades that come from local plants as well as imported natural dye sources.

Churro sheep produce the wool used in these splendid yarns. Churros date from the 16th Century when the King of Spain allowed his New Mexico colonists to bring this “ordinary” sheep to the New World while he kept his prize Merino fine-wool sheep for his royal court.
