Wow. Wowwowwowwow. I just swatched and washed my dark blue that arrived this morning….and I. Am. Blown. Away. More colors please! More gauges! Just more more more please! This is extraordinary yarn…and I am no stranger to luxury fibers, oh no. But this alashan cashmere is exquisite.

Alashan cashmere is probably the finest quality cashmere money can buy. Alashan cashmere comes from the Alashanzuoqi white cashmere goat. These amazing cashmere goats are only found on the Alashan Terrace which is located to the west part of the Inner Mogolian plateau. Selective breeding for down production has occurred since 1970. The Alashanzuoqi cashmere goat produces extremely fine long white cashmere renowned for its gorgeous luster and ultra-soft fiber. The average doe down production is 251 grams at a diameter of 14.5 µm.

Alashan cashmere is feather light and unimaginably soft while possessing unusually good body and drape. Alashan cashmere has excellent memory and bounce (especially for cashmere) making it extremely versatile; a fiber dream come true. There are many pretenders, but it is rare to find cashmere that is real Alashan cashmere. I source this directly from the mill in Inner Mongolia and am pricing it to move quickly. Everyone should have an opportunity to experience the finest cashmere on earth.
