Hebridean DK Lambswool

Pure New Wool from The Hebridean Woolshed’s own An Gàrradh Mòr flock of registered pedigree Hebridean sheep, on the island of Eriskay in the Outer Hebrides.
The fleeces are sorted and graded according to purity of colour, fineness and softness, and then sent away for spinning at a specialist micro-mill in England - The Natural Fibre Company at Launceston, Cornwall
Warm, resilient and hard-wearing, and spun with a firm twist, the 2-ply double-knit yarn knits up beautifully into lace shawls and lighter-weight cardigans.
This is the Lambswool version, made with only the finest and softest fibres from shearling lambs (that is, their first ever shearing), giving a uniformly ‘bitter chocolate’ colour – almost ‘solid’ black, and a semi-lustrous sheen.
100% pure new undyed wool from Hebridean lambs raised in the Outer Hebrides. Natural self-colour - very dark, nearly black with occasional grey strands. Selected by hand for mill-spinning to our own specification - this yarn is NOT handspun. Slightly finer than double-knit gauge. Lustrous with soft handle, ideal for hard-wearing sweaters of character. Exceptional quality for wool from this breed.
Care instructions; hand wash in lukewarm water. Gentle spin. Dry flat.
