75% Blue Faced Leicester (BFL), 25% silk

BFL sheep have luxuriously long, silken, Shirley Temple-esque locks to go with their blue Roman nose. This sheep is known for its threadlike, incredibly light wool.

Severn is our blend of BFL (Blue Faced Leicester) and Silk. BFL is a soft wool with longer fibre staple length making for a more durable yarn. Our Severn combines this durability with silk which adds softness and drape.

Because our yarns are locally spun and hand dyed using all natural dyes, it is recommended that you alternate skeins throughout your project. Be sure to order enough skeins to complete your project as each bag we make is a different dye lot.
