An Aran weight yarn created from our own flock of pedigree Cotswold sheep. This breed and its fleece is classed as a lustre, longwool breed and, as such, the yarn we produce has a beautiful lustre to it and will take dye, which is enhanced by the purlesence of the yarn. Because of the length of the staple (individual fibers), this wool requires very little twist in its production and, as a result, any item made from this yarn will have a beautiful drape to it. This yarn is ideally suited to outer-type garments as well as items of soft furnishings. As it is pure wool, hand wash only and dry flat. This is a relatively strong yarn, but still retains a softness when washed and thus, is comfortable to wear.
