Urso Mouton is a yarn spun in Canada, 80% canadian wool, 20% nylon.

It is a rustic single ply fingering weight. Versatile and sturdy for a single ply, it has a wooly hand but is not too scratchy to wear directly on skin. It can be knit at a tighter gauge for socks (2.75-3mm) to a more looser gauge for drapier shawls or garments. (4mm)

Each skein is hand dyed and unique. If you are buying more then one skein for one project, alternate skeins to keep color consistency.

This yarn is available for dyed to order sweater quantities, just contact me and we will work together.

I can also offer 50g skeins and mini skeins.

All my yarn is dyed using Greener Shades Acid Dyes. They are non-hazardous, non-chrome, low impact, heavy metal-free acid dyes. I also dye in a smoke free environment.

Even if this yarn is superwash and will tolerate the machine, I recommend always hand washing your knits in lukewarm water and laying flat to dry. You spent so much time knitting it, take the best care possible!
