Handspun Merino Silk ArtYarn with Beads and Silver Charms

Last weekend, we finally had some sunshine and it was lovely and warm. I was in a very summery mood and -obviously- thinking of a day at the seaside. When I was done carding and spinning different yarns, I realized they all had the same theme ;-) Summer, sun and the sea - how I’d love to be there now!
This happy artyarn has been spun from my own hand carded fibre blend, containing merino, shiny white mulberry silk, and sparkling angelina (glittery fibre). I’ve spun in a fine, golden metallic thread strung with beautiful faceted glass beads of light blue; frosted-looking seed beads; mother-of-pearl discs and silver charms depicting fish, sea shells, star fish, and seahorses.
Spinning thick and thin, and using the thread, I created lots of texture.
132 m (144 yards)
95 g (3,35 oz)
~ 5-9 wpi
Like all our yarns, this one has been spun in a smoke free home.
