Illustrious DK is a super soft blend of 70% Falkland wool and 30% British alpaca wool, two natural fibres expertly combined to produce a beautifully soft DK yarn with fantastic handle. The inspiring and incredible colours in this range bring an unrivalled depth to your hand knits. Three colours in the palette are variegations (colours spun together to create a unique multi-dimensional shade) which work in natural harmony with the stunning complimentary solids.

British alpaca wool isn’t mass produced and the animals are nurtured by farmers to keep them happy and healthy all year round. The care and attention they get results in the most luxurious, highest quality alpaca fleece. By blending it with the pure Falkland Island Wool, our master craftsmen have created a sumptuous yarn that is perfect for intricate colourwork, lace and cables.
