Nusta (natural) is one of the new yarns in the APU line, and is handspun in Peru. A super bulky yarn presented as a single, there are 43 yards per 100 gram skein. It is sold in packages of ten skeins per kilo.

A blend of 50% Highland Wool (non-superwash) with 50% Superfine Alpaca, this singles yarn has a sturdy twist. We carry three colors of Ccala: Natural light grey, Natural Light Fawn, and Natural.

Spun by wives and mothers of alpaca shepherds in the Andes mountains of Peru, the sale of these yarns contributes to the economic well-being of the families of these talented women. The project’s objective is to empower these Andean women with the ability to provide for their families wile, at the same time, helping to preserve ancient Peruvian textile tradition.

Care: Wash by hand and lay flat to dry.
