Dance is a 4-ply yarn made from particularly luxurious ingredients: silk needs no further introduction, but the wool used in this blend is Bluefaced Leicester: a soft, relatively long stapled, lustrous wool, much beloved of hand spinners. The combination has a distinct shine and weight, resulting in a fabric that is drapey and luxurious against the skin.

A single skein of Dance is ideally suited to any of the shawls listed for Footsie, and can also be used to knit socks (again, one skein for one pair). However, it does not have the bouncy elasticity of Footsie or Footsie-HT, so it is a good idea to choose an elastic stitch so that the finished socks will cling well to the foot and not sag; Pomatomus would be an excellent choice.
