The base yarn for this set of ultrabright, hand-dyed yarn is Henry’s Attic Soie Naturelle Petite, a 2-ply, lace weight, 100% silk noil yarn. Even though this yarn is pure silk, it has a cottony texture. It’s very similar to Habu’s tweedy silk (aka tsumugi silk) yarn, which goes by their product numbers A-1 and N-85.

I’ve hand dyed this lovely, lace weight yarn in 17 of my classic neon colors, many of which are true fluorescent colors and glow under blacklight.
