Bigger is always better, right? Well, this Ashley is bigger than it’s beanie-style counterpart with a looser fit and deeper ribbing. The beanie version of Ashley was screaming “Super Size Me!”, so I did.

This version features long, fold-over ribbing for double the warmth around your ears and forehead and a deep, slouchy body that won’t squish the ‘do. Topped off with a big ole pom-pom, you’ve got the perfect winter hat!

So, whether you’re looking for a slouchy hat or if you need something bigger because your head is like an orange on a toothpick (keep an eye on the pattern notes, there’s an option in there for those of us with the big noggins); Ashley is perfect for you!

(This version can be completed with only 220 yards of worsted weight yarn. Omit one inch of ribbing and the pom pom and you’ll be just fine.)
