This asymmetrical triangular shawl has enough openwork to be comfortable in any season without looking overly “lacey”. The basket
weave eyelet pattern works just as well with a beautiful semi-solid
as it does with more variegated colorways.

This shawl starts at the narrow point and increases along one edge.
Stitches are slipped at the end of each row to form I-cord edges. The
shawl is finished with an I-cord bind off.

It’s easy to adapt this pattern to different yarns or different sizes. Do you want to work with a finer or bulkier yarn? Choose the needle size that works well with your yarn and follow the pattern as written. Want a
larger shawl? Buy a second skein and keep going until you run out of yarn!
