I particularly like Brioche stitch for floral and leaf motifs. I think the lines of Brioche are particularly suited for that.
The stole is knitted in a combination of 2-color brioche and 2-color garter stitch. This means that it’s fully reversible.

The shawl begins with a slanted border, which is formed by brioche leaves. There are also brioche leaf borders along the sides of the shawl. In addition, Brioche leaves are spread throughout the body of the shawl. The end leaf border of the stole is also slanted and is formed by brioche leaves.
