This hat was designed to be worn either with or without a ponytail. Without a ponytail the button band sits quite nicely behind the right ear. With a ponytail, though, you can unbutton the hat and button it back up around your ponytail without messing up your ‘do.

The vine pattern on the featured hat was embroidered with an unplied strand of Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Tundra. The hat was then lightly felted by hand to strengthen the button band without losing fabric flexibility or stitch definition.
