This beautiful scarf uses a chunky yarn and a checkerboard pattern to create a thick and warm statement piece for your winter wear! Would also make a great gift!

The Checkmate Scarf is a beginner friendly easy pattern.

You will need size 5 bulky weight yarn and a K - 6.50 mm crochet hook. It is a filet crochet pattern that uses double crochets and chains. Half double crochets make up the simple border. A stitch chart is included.

The completed scarf measures 7.5” Width x 98” Length. This pattern is adjustable in that you can customize the length of your scarf as well as the option to make it an infinity scarf rather than a standard scarf.

This pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.
