Christmas is a meaty season for crafters. There’s glitter and glue everywhere… This year I wanted to make something different. Something that says “it’s Christmas” but you can also use the rest of the year if you like, a decoration but also something useful, and something that I can also give as a present. I’ve been squeezing my brain for weeks and finally I’ve found just what I was looking for!

You’ll need:
Jute (the amount will depend on how many coasters you’d like to make)
Red and white cotton thread
3mm/C-D/11 crochet hoock (The size depends on how thick the yute is. Try to use the one you’ll use for a yarn as thick as your yute, as we don’t want to make big holes, we want a tight weave)
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
Felt
Cardboard
Fabric glue
A tea and some cookies
