This design was a happy accident, spawned from a failed attempt at knitting a braided cable scarf without a pattern. The result was a two-color all-over cable that gave the illusion of checks, so it seemed only appropriate to name it after the man who gave us the Twist.

This is a great starter pattern with Fair Isle, and a deceptively quick knit for the intermediate knitter. When the yarns are carried over each other consistently, a nice herringbone-esque pattern is formed on the wrong side. It makes it a thick and super-toasty addition to any winter wardrobe!
