May 21: Released the new version. I made some adjustment based on the result of my testers. I decided to use the smaller collar version.

March 7: I decided to rewrite this pattern and test it again in Free Pattern Testers Group. I will release the new revision pattern on Mid May.

Note: This pattern comes with row-by-row written direction in US crochet term and charts..

I have a weakness for dresses and tops with empire waists. They make me look slim, especially if they flare out at the bottom. This is the reason why I designed this top with empire waist and flared-out lacy bottom. Combine this with bell sleeves, you have a real winner.

The pattern is incredibly versatile, giving you the choice of fingering, DK, or worsted weight yarn. Make the top with cotton thread or yarn, and it is excellent for summer. Make it with wool, and it’s perfect as a fall jacket. It can be worn with jeans for a casual outfit, or with a skirt for a formal occasion.
This top is a must for your wardrobe!

This pattern is worked from top down, so you can try it as you go. Also this pattern will show you step by step how to adjust the pattern based on your own measurement into the pattern. So it will fit you nicely.
