MIJN GROTE FAMILIE

Mijn Grote Familie (My big family) is my last project. It’s about Minus, a 12 year old amigurumi kid, and his relatives and friends. In my shop you’ll find their pdf patterns, DIY kits including everything you need to crochet them, the finished dolls and more surprises….

This is Karl Toffeln, Minus’ cousin. Karl is 25 years young. He comes from Germany, from the bottom of The Alps, and he spent most of his life on top of mountains. His passionated about plants and he’s always looking for new species to add to his “Journal of Plants”

Karl likes the mountains, but his biggest passion are the cacti. This is why he doesn’t miss an opportunity to travel to warmer climates to photograph his favourite plants. He’s a young adventurer and dreamer, and one might say he could be coming from a different century.

The pattern consists of a 12 pages PDF with all the instructions to crochet your own Karl. You’ll also find a lot of step by step tutorials and pictures.

LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE: Intermediate

MATERIALS

100% Cotton yarn in 10 colors: yellow, blue, cream color, maroon, mint green, white, light brown, dark brown, black and mottled blue, (I’ve used: Scheepjes Cotton 8 in colors: 714, 711, 501, 717, 665, 700, 659, 657, 515 and Scheepjes Stone Washed in color 805)

A pair of 9mm safety eyes (0,35”)

If you want to be able to move Karl´s arms, you can put a pipe cleaner inside. (If the toy is supposed to be for a baby, I recommend you not to use them).

Approx. measurements when finished: 18 cm height, 9cm length, 7cm width (It’ll depend
on your gauge, the yarn you use, and the hook number)
