The travelling floral lace edging of this shawl, surrounding the smooth inner heart reminds me of the cricket pitch at Loperwood where my family used to play.

A mindless knit for the main body with a knitted-on lace edging to add interest, works with any sock yarn (solid, semi-solid, variegated) and is an ideal one-skein project.

The edging instructions are entirely written, not charted.

Measurements after blocking:

  • Wingspan: 46”/117cm
  • Maximum depth: 21”/53cm

Yarn requirments:

  • 380-420 yards of fingering weight/4 ply/sock yarn
