Errata: Row 1 of the Edging should have an asterisk before the first “ch 5”, for the repeat. Thanks to Veruska for spotting the error!

A light little shawl perfect for cool summer evenings, a beautiful dress accessory. Models shown are crocheted in 3-ply light fingering weight yarn. Miya (mink, merino, silk) and Mimi (mink) by Lotus Yarns.

Acknowledgments:
Thank you so much to Gerykho (Cebu City, Philippines) and Lisa (Beauvais, France) for testing the Miya Shawl pattern! I love you, girls! :D

Design Notes: The shawl is worked in one piece. Stitch markers are used to designate three places where increases are made to create the fan shape of the shawl.

Unless otherwise noted, the shawls shown here are made with 3-ply or light fingering weight lace yarn and a 3mm hook. Some 250 meters of yarn make a shawl of a span of 31 inches and a length of 18 inches. This is a small shawl. If you use sport weight or 5-ply yarn with 3.5mm hook, you can get a similar size shawl using about 325 meters of yarn.

The pattern can be used with almost any type of yarn, but when you use lace or light fingering yarn, try to crochet with a hook larger than the recommended size.
