Modulo is an easy and quick project, ideal for beginners who are not comfortable with knitting in the round.

Modulo is a modular hat, that is, a hat you can either wear “slouchy” or tight, depending on the mood of the moment (or the weather outside).
The ears ar fully covered, and the double brim adds warmth and comfort.

Modulo is worked flat side-to-side using the short-rows technique, and seamed: the crown is perfectly shaped, but the decreases cannot be seen.
Experienced knitters can use a provisional cast-on and either 3-needle bindoff or kitchener for the finishing.

Modulo can be completed in a few hours.

This unisex pattern comes in S/M size, to fit head measurement from 52 cm to 56 cm/20.5” to 22”.

Je voulais un bonnet modulaire, c’est à dire qui puisse se porter slouchy ou bien enfoncé sur la tête et les oreilles, suivant l’humeur du moment (ou le temps qu’il fait dehors).
La solution, c’était de tricoter un modèle dont on peut varier la longueur en enroulant plus ou moins le bord.

Modulo est tricoté en rangs raccourcis, en travers, puis cousu, ou assemblé avec la technique du rabattage de mailles à trois aiguilles, pour les tricoteuses/tricoteurs expérimentés qui maîtrisent le montage provisoire et ce type d’assemblage.

Ce modèle est unisexe, et disponible en taille unique, pour un tour de tête de 50,5 à 56 cm.
