This little crescent shaped shawl has been designed to be knit in fingering weight yarn. It’s a perfect pattern for only one skein of sock yarn. You can adapt the size as you wish working more/less repeats of the lace pattern. It’s also good project for a beginner lace knitter.

Sizes: pattern is written for one size: 155cm (63 inch) width and 55 cm (22.5 inch) height; but it also can be easy adaptable.

Needles: all circular: 4.5 mm/ US #7 for body; 5mm/ US #8 for lace section; 6mm/US #10 for picot bind off.

Yarn: Lilou Single Fingering (100% merino; 100 grams - 400 yards/366 meters) or any other fingering weight yarn which gives you the correct gauge; approx 90 grams. Gauge is not overly important as this is a shawl and it is better to knit a swatch to ensure that you are happy with your tension and the drape of your fabric – a tighter tension will result in a smaller shawl.

Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows over 10 cm/ 4” in St st worked flat with 4.5 mm needles after wet blocking.

Notions: tapestry needle, blocking pins, markers.
