A true statement piece, the OberLandForstMeister is a striking garment in-between a cardigan and a jacket.

Worked in squishy mohair tweed, it holds its shape perfectly while providing a stylish and extravagant layer, that is intended to be worn open fronted for a casual look. It can of course be closed with a pin or a simple button (try to use a non-contrasting one in this case, to not interfere with all the other elements of this design).

This top-down seamless Cardigan features striking epaulettes worked with an adapted set-in sleeve construction.
Texture is prevalent in the 3D-shaping of this boxy design: The Ivy motif of the back side slopes towards the moss-stitch fronts in a continuous, diagonal line that transforms into knotted cables flowing into the contrasting hem.
Finally, an innovative sleeve cap solution leaves a vent underneath the overlapping flap to avoid distortion of the epaulettes. Short-rows produce an oval hemline with a lower back that still keeps the front high enough for a flattering fit of this oversized shape.

In the last 4 pictures you can see a sleeveless vest version of this cardigan as another option for versatility.
