The Reef Afghan is an easy pattern that is customizable to any size blanket you wish from baby lovey all the way up to a California King! You will simply need to adjust the number of foundation chains (starting chains) and add or subtract the number of rows.

The stitch pattern is a simple one row repeat. The only stitches you’ll need to know are the single crochet and double crochet. The border adds 1 3/4” to all sides.

In this example, the finished blanket measures 68” Length x 46 3/4” Width and approximately 2,190 yards were used. That is 7 skeins of 260 yds each for the main body of the afghan and 1 skein of 372 yds for the border. You will need an I/9 (5.50 mm) crochet hook and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

There is a stitch chart included at the end of the pattern.

This pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.
