Sadie is a felted cloche, knit in the round. Designed in honor of my great-grandmother who lived through the US’ Great Depression, Sadie’s subtle Art-Deco lace details are meant to be quietly stylish and infinitely wearable. Her soft color and understated beauty will carry you through the day with a bit of graceful panache!

Photo-tutorial instructions are given in the pattern for felting a test swatch and adjusting the hat length in two places to be sure your felted hat comes out perfectly every time. Sadie is a great first lace or first felting project. A simple knit that comes together quickly, it’s as effortless to knit as it is to wear!

SIZING:
Small: 21” circ
Med: 23.5” circ
Large: 26” circ

Sadie requires 250-335 yards of 100% animal fiber. Superwash and other washable yarns will not felt. All other animal fiber blends should work, with the exception of silk.

Note that gauge is measured by your test swatch, which is knit flat.
