Skoutari is a beach in the south of Peloponnese, Greece. It is our favourite vacation spot for the summer, so I had to come up with a shawl that represents the move of the sea waves, the sailing boats and the feeling of the summer breeze. The shawlette was knitted there and the pictures were taken in the olive garden that surrounds the hotel. I used a gray-beige coloured yarn on purpose! That’s the colour of the sand!
I also knitted another shawl (in order to test my pattern), using a hand-dyed blue shades yarn and I can say the result is beuatiful.
I hope it brings some Greek summer taste into the life of those who knit it and I ‘ll be glad if you let me know what you think of it!
