Very easy and quick to knit on a standard gauge knitting machine and an excellent garment for a newbie machine knitter to try

This lovely garment is like wearing a shawl with sleeves, it drapes and moulds to your body shape and is flattering for all
The purl side of the knitting is used as the right side and all seams are exposed

The sleeves are worked down towards the cuff which fit the wrist closely and are overly long so they ruche up in wear

Materials
1 Cone of Yeoman Yarns Tibet (Medium sized garment weighs 200g before washing) If you can’t use the recommended yarn, then please try and find something that will bloom a little when blocked. Tibet is softly spun and has a high wool content so the stitches ‘open’ when blocked
Waste yarn
Ravel cord
Button

This cardigan drapes like a shawl with sleeves, and fits everyone differently. I have added three sizes, small, medium and large
Small UK sizes 8-12, Medium UK sizes 14-18, Large UK sizes 20-22
Machine
Standard Gauge Machine, no ribber required, I used a Silver Reed SK280

This yarn is knitted at a looser than normal tension for 3ply/heavy lace to allow for a lovely drape to the finished garment
25 stitches and 36 rows to 10 cms square at TD 10 (MT) after washing and drying
Different machines produce different tensions so do make a 60st tension piece following the instructions in the manual for your machine, I always use the green ruler supplied with my Silver Reed machine
