--- a little knit along ---

june-10 - cast on will start this evening, I will add all pattern details here as well as at my blog (mygurumi.blogspot.com)

we will create beautiful knee high socks, you might stop earlier since we’re knitting toe up that will be no problem at all. A calf shaping will be made with changing needle sizes. The main pattern can be seen in the first uploaded picture.

Hope you will like it =^__^=

cast on with 2.25 mm needles:

To cast on I use Judy Becker’s magic cast on, I like it a lot and it creates a very neat beginning and to have anatomical toes I use the chart/first picture above -it’s for one foot, just mirror the increases for the other foot.

I will work both socks at a time using the magic loop technique with 2 needles.

In total we will cast on 54 stitches.

If you prefer different toes please knit your favorite version - only make sure you have 54 stitches divided on two needles at the end.

Pattern for the feet can be found here:

please click the pictures there for bigger charts.

the heels are made with a short row heel, please see here for more detail

starting the back pattern and how to continue until the cuff/knee, please click the charts for bigger pictures
