This boomerang shaped shawl is a shout out to one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Toronto. Known for being a hip place to live and for it’s Summer Solstice Festival, The Junction is one of the many neighborhoods that keeps Toronto so vibrant.

The Junction Shawl is simple to knit and easily adaptable to any amount of yarn you have, or any thickness of yarn! Use any gradient or mini-skein set you desire for a pop of color, or follow my lead and use the coveted and delicious ombre yarn from Ontario indie yarn company - The Blue Brick! Just keep in mind if substituting that less than 400 yards of fingering weight will result in a very small kerchief-sized piece.

It is easily wrapped like a scarf or thrown over the shoulders like a shawl or kerchief. You’ll find that the long arms of the shawl are much easier to keep on the shoulders than a traditional triangle shawl!
