These adorable little acorns are created by crocheting around a 1” plastic ring that can be found just below the cap on bottles of water. Using only chains, single crochets and half double crochets, this pattern is incredibly simple.

How can you use them?

You can make a garland to decorate your home, office, or classroom. You could hot glue those wallet sized photos to the back to make sweet little picture frames. How about sliding a rolled napkin inside the ring to decorate an Autumn themed table? Or adding a hanger to the top to create ornaments!

You will need a G/6 (4.25 mm) crochet hook, worsted weight yarn, packaging twine (optional) and how ever many 1” plastic rings you would like to make into acorns.
