My mom taught me to sew when I was young but I waited until I was 16 to pick up knitting. Like sewing I went from “I want to knit, mom” to knitting an Elizabeth Zimmerman sweater, bottom up with raglan sleeves, on circular needles. Yes, my mother was patient.
